On May 8, 2018, spectators were able to view  the film about a 12-year-old apprentice working in a printing house, who unexpectedly takes part in a world changing history. This film gathered the large number of spectators in two screenings and took them back in time to 500 years ago.

On May 7, in the historic setting of the Oratorium Marianum Hall at the University of Wroclaw, clergy, representatives of the world of science, politics and diplomacy talked about freedom for over two hours.

Freedom was the main topic of the International Scientific Conference, which took place on May 7, 2018 at the Evangelical School of Theology as part of the VIII Festival of Protestant Culture.

The first day of the VIII Festival of Protestant Culture ended with an exotic, oriental accent – a concert of the Piyut Ensemble in the White Stork Synagogue.

The VIII Festival of Protestant Culture entitled “The Spaces of Freedom” started with a solemn ceremony in the Lutheran Church of Divine Providence. It was attended by evangelicals, representatives of other Christian denominations, organizers and partners of the Festival as well as numerous participants and guests.

Those who surrender their freedom also surrender their status as Christians. Christians  stand in freedom, without any backing, before both God and the world; they alone bear the entire responsibility for how they will deal with this gift of freedom. It is 100 years since Poland regained its independence. The year 2018 also abounds in many other important anniversaries that are related to freedom – the main theme of this year’s Festival of the Protestant Culture.

We rejoice in the celebration of God’s love for us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

At the beginning of February, the Institute of Church Development began the implementation of two projects. The School of Speakers and the II edition of the School of Worship gathered participants from various cities of Lower Silesia, representing several churches.
